A: Striper is for everyone! Whether you’re a Staff Sergeant getting ready to test for Tech, or an A1C preparing for a Senior Airman Below The Zone board, you can use AFStriper to improve your knowledge of the PDG.
A: You can use AFStriper to read the PDG, take quizzes on the PDG, and review flash cards. You can also see how you’re doing compared to other users on AFStriper.
A: Visit our “Pricing & Sign Up” page and click “Sign Up”. You can be studying in 60 seconds. We don’t require computer authorizations and software activations like PDG Gold.
A: Absolutely! For a limited time you can try AFStriper free for 7 days. View our “Pricing & Signup” page to get the promotion code. We ask that you provide a credit card in order to prevent fraud and misuse of our free trial. If you like Striper, your credit card will be billed on the 7th day, and if not, you can cancel your account before the 7th day and trying AFStriper won’t cost you a penny.
A: There are lots of benefits to studying the PDG online using AFStriper. With AFStriper you don’t have to keep track of authorizations codes, books, disks, or flash cards like you do with PDG Gold. Furthermore, if you buy a PDG Gold book and there’s an error in it, they’re not going to send you a new book with the mistake corrected. If you’re using their disks you’re going to have to find, download, and install the fix. You don’t have that additional headache with AFStriper. You are always using the latest and greatest version! If there’s an error we fix it, when we add questions you have access to them immediately. AFStriper is unmatched when it comes to convenience.
A: Click on “My Profile” after you log in. That will take you to a screen you can use to enter your test date. After you click “update” your test countdown clock will appear on the upper right side of your screen.
Answers: Billing
A: AFStriper is a service and it’s automatically billed to you on a monthly basis.

A: We make it easy for you to cancel your account. You don’t need to call us or email us. Just go to your “My Profile” account page and click “Delete My Account” under the “Payment Info” tab. Your account will be closed immediately. It’s that simple!
A: Most definitely! The signup page as well as the entire AFStriper app is on secure servers.
A: Your payments to AFStriper are securely processed using PayPal.
Answers: Studying
A: AFStriper saves all of your previous quizzes from the las year. So as long as the quiz you want to review isn’t older than that you can review it.
A: Yes, all 20 chapters are available to read on AFStriper and you can quiz on all of the testable chapters (2-19).
A: Yes! You can use the arrow keys to slide from one card to the next. Hitting the “T” key will tag the card, so you can review it later and the “S” key will shuffle the order of the flash cards.
A: If you feel you need to spend more time on particular flash cards you can “tag” the cards. Then you’ll be able to click “Review tagged cards” to study only those flash cards and even quiz on them if you’d like to.
A: When reviewing all of your quizzes, clicking on the magnifying glass for an individual quiz will take you to a table showing all of the questions for that quiz and whether you answered them correctly or not. Clicking on the flash card icon will take you to that chapter’s flash cards.
If you’re already viewing an individual quiz, clicking on the magnifying glass will take you to that specific question. You’ll see the question, all multiple choice options, the correct answer and your answer. Clicking on the chapter text icon (it looks like a sheet of paper with the letter “A” on it) will bring up the section of the PDG that question came from in a popup window. Clicking on the flash card icon will tag the flash card for this question so you can review it later.
If you’re looking at the individual question, clicking the chapter icon will bring up the relevant section of the PDG and clicking the flash card will tag that question’s corresponding flash card.
Answers: Quizzing
A: You can take 3 kinds of quizzes on AFStriper. You can take a 20-question quick quiz that is only 2 clicks away from the login screen. This is a great quiz to take if you only have a few minutes to study. Next there’s the standard quiz. You choose which chapter you want to quiz on and how many questions you want to answer (15, 25, or 50). Lastly, you can tag flash cards from a chapter and quiz only on those cards.
A: Quick quizzes are 20 questions long and cover the entire PDG.
A: You get one point for each question you answer correctly, even if you don’t finish the entire quiz. Also, you only get a point if the first answer you click on is correct. If, for a particular question, you select a wrong answer first then click on the correct answer you won’t get the point. (But you’ll know better next time!)
A: You can email our support team or you can click the “QN” number at the end of the question. This will bring up a form that you can use to explain the error you found. Someone from our support team will get back to you within 2 days.
Answers: Stats, Points, etc.
A: The stats you see on AFStriper compare your performance to other users in our AFStriper community. When our community gets big enough you’ll be able to compare your performance to only those in your career field. So be sure to tell as many people as you can about AFStriper because we can’t wait to enable that feature.
A: AFStriper has a lot of data about your performance to help you maximize your study time. You get 4 major stats: (1) Your overall percentage correct broken down by chapter. (2) Your overall percentage correct for the entire PDG. (3) How much time you’ve spent studying. (4) How many points you’ve earned. Another great feature of AFStriper is that you have three different views for each of the last 3 stats listed earlier. You can see your performance for the current day, the current week, or the current month.
A: There are 2 ways to earn points. You get 5 points each day you log on and 1 point for each quiz question you answer correctly.
A: Points are only good for 30 days, so your total points will go up and down depending on how much you study. Not only does this make sure that only the people actively studying make it to the top levels of our community, it also motivates you to study the PDG regularly.
A: The picture after the AFStriper logo is a badge that indicates your user level within our community. There are 4 levels altogether: Casual, Striper, Super Troop, and PDG Ninja! As you accumulate more points you will earn new badges.
A: Our stats are to help you get a better idea of how you would do on the PDG portion of the promotion test compared to others. We make no guarantees about whether or not you will get promoted if you’re a top user in our community. In order to do that, we’d need everyone in the Air Force who’s testing for promotion to be on AFStriper, and our community is just not there yet.
A: You can earn new badges by regularly quizzing and earning more points. Everyone who joins our community starts out on the Casual level. To get the Striper badge you need to be in the 151-1000 point range. You’ll get the Super Troop badge when you have 1,001-2,999 points. The top badge/level within our community is Ninja and you need 3,000 points to reach it. So far no one has reached the Ninja level, will you be the first?
